Character and identity
Address Istanbul occupies a sleek high-rise in Camlica on the Asian side of the Bosphorus, part of the Emaar Square complex that bundles a shopping mall, aquarium, cinema and offices beneath the hotel. The design language is contemporary and polished, with city and sea views climbing all the way to the 48th-floor Emaar Skyview observation terrace. The spa centres on a white marble Turkish hammam with steam and sauna rooms and Organic Pharmacy treatments, and there's an indoor pool plus a dedicated children's pool. A private helipad sits on site. Service runs at a sophisticated, attentive register.
Who's it for
Best for:
Travellers who want a modern, view-driven Istanbul base rather than an old-city boutique, and who appreciate having a mall, restaurants and entertainment directly downstairs. Families are genuinely catered for, with rooms sleeping up to five, connecting configurations and a kids' pool. The breakfast spread alone will please food-led guests.
Should look elsewhere:
Anyone wanting to walk out the door into historic Sultanahmet or Beyoglu should book on the European side instead. Camlica is trendy and urban, but Dolmabahce is eight miles away and the airport run takes close to an hour. Heritage-architecture purists won't find character here.
Bottom line
The pitch here is altitude and convenience: skyline views, an observation deck, a helipad, and a self-contained Emaar Square ecosystem on the Asian shore, paired with one of the city's better hotel breakfasts. Book it if you want modern comfort and family-sized rooms over old-Istanbul atmosphere. Request a high floor facing the Bosphorus, and build in taxi time for European-side sightseeing.
