Character and identity
Set on Playa Bledito (Tequila Cove) along the 20-mile tourist corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, this 375-room beachfront resort overlooks the Sea of Cortez on one of the rare swimmable stretches in the region. A recent Hirsch-Bedner refresh has updated the rooms with warm Mexican accents, comfortable furnishings and ocean-view balconies. Eight pools (two with infinity edges and swim-up bars) sprawl across the grounds, alongside the Eforea Spa, tennis courts and a new beach club. Seven restaurants run from the Italian-leaning Vela to the wood-fired Leña, and the El Dorado ballroom seats 800.
Who's it for
Best for:
Families first and foremost. The Cabo Kids Club covers ages four to 12, the Splash Zone pool has water slides, and the calm cove allows kayaking, snorkelling and paddleboarding that most Cabo beaches can't. It also works well for destination weddings, corporate groups, and golfers eyeing Cabo Real and Palmilla, both nearby.
Should look elsewhere:
Couples after a quiet, design-led retreat or adults-only calm will find the scale, kids' programming and group business at odds with that. If you want walkable restaurants and nightlife, the corridor location leaves you reliant on taxis to reach either cape city.
Bottom line
The combination of a genuinely swimmable beach, eight pools and a serious kids' programme is the rare Cabo package that delivers for families without compromise. Book an ocean-view room for the balcony, target shoulder season for better corridor rates, and budget for cabs into San José del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas when you want a night off-property.
