Character and identity
Set across four low-rise buildings on the Gulf of Mexico, this 120-room resort opens onto the Harbor Walk and sits within strolling distance of Duval Street, Mallory Square, and Old Town. The look is breezy Key West: white linens, light wood, teal penny tile, every room with a balcony and most with at least a partial ocean view. Dining is the headline act, anchored by Four Flamingos, Richard Blais's second restaurant, alongside Blue Mojito Bar and Grill and Keys Coffee Cafecito. The compact Jala Spa runs three treatment rooms by appointment. Service register is laid-back and casual.
Who's it for
Best for:
Couples and families after classic Key West sun, swimming pool time, and walkable access to the Historic Seaport and Duval Street. World of Hyatt members who want to earn or redeem points in the Keys will find real value, as will travellers prioritising strong on-site cooking and a balcony with a Gulf view over high-end pampering.
Should look elsewhere:
Design literates and luxury seekers expecting bespoke service, a destination spa, or a true beach. The two slivers of man-made sand are modest, the spa is small, rooms are comfortable but predictable, and service runs friendly-casual rather than polished.
Bottom line
The food programme, led by Four Flamingos, is the single biggest reason to book, supported by a location that puts the seaport and Old Town at your door. Spend up for a Gulf-view balcony room, book Four Flamingos before you arrive, and use the complimentary two-hour bike rental to range beyond the resort.
