Tucked just north of Hollywood Boulevard, the Everly is a 216-room Kimpton that trades tourist-strip energy for a quieter perch with sweeping views toward the Hollywood Sign. The design language is California minimalist: neutral palettes, midcentury notes, and floor-to-ceiling windows that do most of the decorative work. The rooftop pool is the social heart, with Jane Q handling all-day California cooking, Ever Bar drawing a pre-theatre crowd, and Written Hand leaning loungey. Service runs warm and unfussy, capped by the brand's hosted evening wine hour. There is no spa, but the gym and pool deck cover the basics.

The draw here is the rooftop and the views, paired with a location that lets you walk to the Walk of Fame without sleeping on top of it. Book a higher floor facing the Hills, ask explicitly to be kept off the freeway side, and time your arrival for the complimentary wine hour. Best value for a two or three-night Hollywood stay rather than a longer resort-style trip.
