Set in an 18th-century private mansion on Rue Boissy d'Anglas, off Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and steps from the Tuileries and Grand Palais, this is Sofitel's fashion-literate Parisian outpost. Designer Didier Gomez has run a retro 1960s and 70s thread through the public rooms, with Louis XV armchairs, larger-than-life prints by Horst, Chaloner Woods and Irving Penn, and pastel-painted photographs of fashionable women hung above the beds. The bar bustles with shoppers, a hidden patio garden trickles with fountains, and Blossom restaurant builds bespoke desserts around a guest's chosen ingredient. A leather-walled gym and twin hammams round out the spa floor.

The defining pull here is atmosphere: a fashion-house mood, a genuinely secret courtyard, and a location that puts the Tuileries, Grand Palais and the city's best shopping within a short walk.
