Character and identity
Soho Roc House occupies a cluster of whitewashed Cycladic buildings above Paraga beach, the group's first Greek outpost and a quietly reworked version of the old San Giorgio. The mood across 45 rooms is neo-bohemian: pressed sand-coloured plaster, rattan, kilim cushions, jute rugs and folk art, with daybeds wrapped around an undulating pool and boulders leading down to a wooden deck on the Aegean. The kitchen, overseen by Athinagoras Kostakos of Scorpios and Meraki, turns out share-friendly Mediterranean cooking, while members and guests get priority access to Scorpios beach club across the bay.
Who's it for
Best for:
Style-literate couples and groups in their late twenties to forties who want to plug into Mykonos nightlife without overpaying for the privilege. Yogis, gym-goers, sunset chasers and Soho House regulars will feel at home, especially those keen on Scorpios access, poolside lounging and Aegean swims between long lunches and louder evenings.
Should look elsewhere:
Families and anyone after a quiet, polished retreat should skip it: the location pulses with techno from neighbouring Paradise beach clubs at sunset and sunrise. Service is still finding its register, storage in rooms is tight, and the included breakfast is light. Traditionalists wanting overtly Greek design won't find it here.
Bottom line
The draw is the package: a genuinely cool Mykonos base with Scorpios access, decent cooking and rates that undercut the island's usual gouging. Book an upper-floor room for the views and bigger balcony, or one of the newer Paraga-facing rooms if you want a calmer aspect. Go for the food and the crowd, not for flawless service.
