Character and identity
A 218-room concrete tower reimagined by Portuguese operator Tivoli, this property sits a block from Avenida Paulista, two from the MASP, and inside the Jardins restaurant belt, arguably São Paulo's best address. The glass-walled lobby is wrapped in greenery that softens the high-rise bones into something closer to a tropical retreat. Beyond the polished Narã Bar & Lounge, a cushioned pool deck (orange-tiled, somewhat overheated water) handles the lounging. The dining headline is Arola Vintetres, Catalan chef Sergi Arola's first venture outside Spain, perched on the 23rd floor with high-end tapas and a crowd of Paulistas. Service skews warm and willing.
Who's it for
Best for:
Design-aware urban travellers and couples who want to walk to Paulista, MASP and the city's strongest restaurant district without sacrificing a pool, a spa and a genuinely good in-house dining room. The Brazilian turndown touches (Havaianas, pão de mel) and complimentary caipirinhas play well for first-time visitors.
Should look elsewhere:
Anyone expecting plush, design-forward suites should know the earth-tone rooms are spacious but utilitarian. Service can stumble: the dial-3 concierge line sometimes goes unanswered, which will frustrate guests who want seamless five-star polish.
Bottom line
The case here is location plus a serious rooftop restaurant, wrapped in a competent rather than dazzling room product. If you want to be inside Jardins and within walking distance of Paulista's culture, this is the smartest address in the city. Book a higher floor for the views, plan at least one dinner at Arola Vintetres, and don't rely on the phone system for anything urgent.
