Character and identity
Set on a 13-hectare waterfront stretch of the Messinian coast, this is the first adults-only property at Costa Navarino (children 12 and up are welcome) and the first W in Greece. Greek architects Tombazis and Associates have shaped it like a coastal village in stone, wood, and reed, threaded through jasmine and oleander gardens. The 246 rooms, suites, and villas span Fabulous to Wow! categories, many with swim-up or private pool access. Dining clusters around an infinity pool: the Platía food market, beachside Parelía for Greek classics, and the vegetarian Green Pepper. The Away Spa, four tennis courts, and a 25-metre lap pool round out a wellness-forward programme, with poolside DJ sets pulling things in a cooler, design-literate direction.
Who's it for
Best for:
Couples and groups of friends who want Greek coast without children underfoot, design and art lovers (the atrium is hung with commissioned work from Athens School of Fine Arts students), fitness-minded travellers drawn to daily classes and Technogym kit, and culture seekers using the resort as a base for Pylos, Olympia, and Voidokilia beach.
Should look elsewhere:
Families with younger kids are excluded outright, and anyone after a proper nightlife scene will find the surrounding villages quiet. Pure beach purists should note the infinity pool is the social heart, "more for posing", with the sand a secondary draw.
Bottom line
What sets this apart from the broader Costa Navarino estate is the grown-up, design-driven register: art, wellness, and a poolside DJ rather than kids' clubs and family buffets. Book a swim-up room for the shared 90-metre pool, or a suite with private pool if you want seclusion. Shoulder season suits the hiking and ruins; Athens flights make it cheaper to reach than most Greek islands.
