Character and identity
Andronis Arcadia opened in 2019 on the quieter edge of Oia, close enough that the cliff-side village is an easy stroll yet far enough to feel sheltered from the crowds that define Santorini's most photographed town. The all-suite property leans into clean, contemporary lines, with accommodation in neutral browns and beiges set against the island's signature ivory whites. Every suite faces the Aegean. Two pools anchor the day: a sleek infinity pool with floating loungers and the circular Grande Pool, which takes on a beach-club energy when the DJ plays. The Evexia Spa, multiple restaurants and a private yacht round out a deliberately self-contained stay.
Who's it for
Best for:
Couples after a private, view-driven Santorini stay who still want activity on tap, plus design-minded families drawn to the kids' club with its Lego robotics lab. It suits guests who like their luxury packaged with experiences: catamaran days, helicopter hops to Mykonos, photo safaris, cabana afternoons with champagne.
Should look elsewhere:
Anyone wanting to be in the thick of Oia's lanes, tavernas and sunset crowds will find the location too removed. Beach purists should note this is cliff-top Santorini, not a sand-and-sea resort, and travellers seeking historic Cycladic character may find the contemporary interiors too pared-back.
Bottom line
What sells Arcadia is the combination of total Aegean privacy and a deep activity programme that means you never have to leave: yacht, helicopter, spa, two very different pools. Book a Natura Suite for the private plunge pool and veranda view, or step up to an Oasis Suite for the extra room. Larger groups should consider Eden Villa, billed as Oia's biggest.
