Character and identity
Cosme sits on the northern rim of Paros, in the Bay of Naoussa, laid out like a Cycladic village in miniature: 40 whitewashed suites linked by outdoor pathways that wind past a central fountain "square" down to a half-moon infinity pool and a private beach. The design language leans on neutral tones, handcrafted wood and crisp white linens. Dining is led by Yiannis Kiorohlou (of La Guérite and La Petite Maison fame) across Volta and Parostia, while the cliff-top Elios Spa centres on a private jacuzzi with an olive tree rising from the water. Service is warm, intuitive and quietly precise.
Who's it for
Best for:
Couples, mother-daughter trips and families wanting an authentic Cycladic stay without losing modern polish. Guests here want to wander into Naoussa town (a 10-minute walk), book wine tastings, farm visits and boat trips through the concierge, and balance beach time with serious cooking. Design-literate travellers will appreciate the village-like layout.
Should look elsewhere:
Wheelchair users cannot be accommodated, as the property isn't accessible. Anyone seeking Santorini-style drama, a big party scene, or a sprawling resort with multiple kids' clubs and entertainment programmes will find Cosme too understated and too small.
Bottom line
What sets Cosme apart is coherence: the village-style architecture, the Medite-Grecian kitchen and the unforced service all pull in the same direction, so the island's character stays front and centre. Book a suite with a private pool if you can stretch to it, request a bay-facing room otherwise, and aim for shoulder season when Naoussa is lively but not at full August pitch.
